We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer who will ensure that all purchased components and materials meet industry standards. The role is responsible for supplier qualification & development, supplier quality assurance, and continuous improvement to support efficient production and high product reliability.
What you will do:
- Supporting the selection and approval of new suppliers.
- Supplier Risk Management – systems and process audits per recognized standards. Rating the suppliers to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- Prevention and reduction of Supplier non-Quality costs.
- Part Approval Process for supplier parts.
- Guarantee that all specific requirements including product compliance requirements are clearly understood and fulfilled by the suppliers.
- Supporting and supervising supplier evaluation process.
- Forces corrective actions from audit findings and drives completion of tasks through supplier development programs. Reviews and approves supplier corrective actions.
- Provides quality input for strategic sourcing projects, including evaluation of supplier capability, specification review, product implementation and part transition.
- Verify compliance with specifications through performing supplier audits.
- Assists in quality problem solving through supplier process data analysis.
- Managing reports per direction of supervisor.
- Negotiate change notice agreements with suppliers and identify necessary.
- Quality Improvement Process Strategy (QIPS) to contain any risks of undetected changes which could impact Luminator.
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure that incoming materials meet the required specifications.
- Supporting Quality Assurance Team with non-conforming material reports (NCR) related with suppliers.
- Ensuring transfer of Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) onto suppliers.
- Supporting escalation process towards suppliers with quality related issues.
- Managing collection and maintenance of product specific compliance requirements including REACH/ROHS, Conflict Minerals declarations and IMDS.
What we are looking for:
- Completed technical studies (electrical engineering, vehicle/manufacturing technology, etc.) or comparable with appropriate experience.
- Experience in Supplier Quality Assurance department, working with suppliers.
- Assessing, auditing and interacting with suppliers.
- Conducting audits, assessments and technical reviews with ability to communicate findings and implement continuous improvement programs.
- Quality methodologies and tools (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, 8D, Ishikawa).
- Material compliance (REACH/ROHS, IMDS, Conflict Minerals).
- Knowing automotive standards and norms (VDA, AIAG, IATF16949).
- Working with business and legal to craft, negotiate and implement Quality/ supply agreements.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (ideally InforLN), Power BI, IMDS platform, audit tools.
- Fluent in English and Polish (written and spoken).
- German and further languages skills are an advantage.
- Certifications: process auditor (e.g. VDA 6.3) / Second Party Auditor, Internal auditor ISO9001.
