We are currently looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to support our Sales team in France and North Italy.
In this role you will grow our business the the area and act as a consultant and support for our customers to meet their expectations.
What you will do:
- Business Development – responsible for expanding the company’s presence in France and Northern Italy.
- Account Management – oversee assigned key accounts across all functional levels (purchasing, logistics, engineering/technology, after‑sales). Ensure continuous market intelligence regarding customer technology needs and competitor activities.
- Customer Landscape Modeling – create and maintain an up‑to‑date “Customer Landscape Model” including all relevant stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Project Pipeline Management – identify, prioritize, and focus on key opportunities within the project pipeline.
- Commercial Management – manage current and future agreements, including pricing, terms, and commercial conditions.
- Order Acquisition – secure orders in line with budget, forecasts, and identified opportunities.
- Customer Support – provide customers with all necessary information related to each opportunity.
- Offer Preparation – prepare and submit quotations and proposals to customers.
- Customer Visits – conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and support business development activities.
- Specification Evaluation – review and evaluate customer specifications and requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Successfully completed technical or business/economics studies, or an equivalent qualification
- Experience in account management and in project‑ or engineering‑driven business environments
- Background in marketing and business development
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and within international business structures
- Strong escalation management capabilities
- Knowledge of the transport and/or public sector
- Understanding of the company’s products and portfolio
- High level of expertise in how telematics, networking, and other relevant technical solutions are used—or can be used—in public transportation
- Solid understanding of how large public transport systems operate
- Knowledge of relevant operational processes
- Awareness of market dynamics
- Familiarity with typical customer requirements
