Luminator is seeking to fill our Quality Assurance Inspector role to join our growing and dynamic Quality Assurance team where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator. Summary:   

Performs all Quality Inspection functions, including First Article Inspections, MRR (rejected material) creation, ERP (Syteline) Processing and Data Entry

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of the Quality Department’s Procedures and Departmental Inspection Criteria’s.
  • Knowledge of FAI (First Article Inspection) for Delta (Update) FAI’s
  • Knowledge of the QA bond room inventory and shelving locations.
  • Knowledge of the ERP (Syteline) System, data entry processing and, problem solving.                                        
  • Assist in MRR dispositions (included the performance of detailed inspections in a timely manner and with minimal assistance).
  • Interface with purchasing group on basic quality issues, perform initial acceptance on incoming material, piece parts, finishes, vendor C of C’s, Test documents, etc.                                           
  • Increase and encourage interdepartmental cooperation and activity through efficiency                          
  • and team-building programs.
  • Accomplish all other explicit or implied tasks in an outstanding manner.

  • The Quality Inspector I must demonstrate use of mechanical and electronic measurement and inspection equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers (Digital and Vernier), drop and depth gauges, microscopes, etc.); demonstrate the ability to make computer ERP transactions, be computer literate, and demonstrate the ability to read and work from engineering drawings with normal supervision.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret all types of mechanical and electronic measurement and test equipment.
  • The Inspector I must be able to quickly adapt to fluid situations, quickly learn and grasp the intricacies of many different types of situations, problems, inspection methods and standards, be able to assimilate many inputs and make decisions based on the current situation and one’s skills, experience, knowledge, and current procedures without needlessly costing the company money.

Education/Experience: 

  • The Quality Inspector I, must have a minimum of two years’ experience, in manufacturing or quality inspection environment.
  • The Quality Inspector I must possess a high school diploma or GED.
