We’re searching for a Field Service Technician to join our growing Field Operations team and play a key role in driving our vision forward.
What You’ll Do:
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Luminator’s hardware and software systems on public transit vehicles. You’ll serve as a key representative of the company, ensuring optimal system performance and building strong relationships with our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing on-site service, preventative maintenance, and repairs on transit vehicles.
- Diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Providing start-up support, warranty service, and customer training.
- Accurately documenting all work performed, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Reviewing product prints and specifications to ensure proper installation.
- Collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors to support service operations.
- Operating vehicles safely and using field systems appropriately.
- Acting as a brand ambassador and fostering positive customer relationships.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent military technical training preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting technical or engineering services (military electronics experience may be considered equivalent).
- Clean DMV record and valid driver’s license.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency with electrical systems, automotive wiring, voltmeters, and small tools.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to diagnose, resolve, and communicate complex technical issues.
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams (preferred).
- OSHA training a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, safety protocols, and engineering principles.
