We’re searching for a Field Service Technician to join our growing Field Operations team and play a key role in driving our vision forward.

What You’ll Do:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Luminator’s hardware and software systems on public transit vehicles. You’ll serve as a key representative of the company, ensuring optimal system performance and building strong relationships with our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

Performing on-site service, preventative maintenance, and repairs on transit vehicles.
Diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
Providing start-up support, warranty service, and customer training.
Accurately documenting all work performed, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
Reviewing product prints and specifications to ensure proper installation.
Collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors to support service operations.
Operating vehicles safely and using field systems appropriately.
Acting as a brand ambassador and fostering positive customer relationships.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent military technical training preferred.
At least 2 years of experience supporting technical or engineering services (military electronics experience may be considered equivalent).
Clean DMV record and valid driver’s license.

Skills & Knowledge:

Proficiency with electrical systems, automotive wiring, voltmeters, and small tools.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to diagnose, resolve, and communicate complex technical issues.
Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams (preferred).
OSHA training a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, safety protocols, and engineering principles.
