Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process, ensuring transactions comply with US GAAP and internal policies.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
- Review and process journal entries with adequate supporting documentation.
- Prepare and review reconciliations by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system, other departments, and external sources.
- Complete analysis of general ledger account fluctuations.
- Draft reporting packages for the Business Units.
- Interpret the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provide audit support, including audit work papers and responding to audit inquiries.
- Assist with internal control testing and documentation in compliance with internal SOX controls.
- Implement and follow current accounting procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Review contracts, revenue recognition, and cost accounting procedures in compliance with ASC 606.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. MBA or advanced degree in Finance preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems.
- Ability to identify complex problems and develop and evaluate options to implement solutions.
- Strong logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Ability to determine how money will be spent to get the work done and account for these expenditures.
- Proficiency in advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, organization, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, Board members, Committee members, or other outside partners.
- Solid analytical and time management skills.
