We’re searching for a Senior Manager, Logistics Operations to join our growing operations team and play a key role in driving our vision forward.  This role is located onsite at the Plano, Texas office headquarters.  

What You’ll Do:
As a Logistics Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of materials management and transportation, including but not limited to shipping, receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, and internal order fulfillment, working as a key leader in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will develop and/or support key performance indicators in your areas, track progress, and drive continuous improvement. You will review logs, datasheets, and reports to ensure proper inventory controls are maintained.      
                                   

Essential Functions:
  • Lead and mentor logistics and warehouse teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement across inbound, outbound, and inventory operations.
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics workflows, including receiving, staging, shipping, damage claims, customs clearance, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual standards.
  • Design and implement scalable logistics strategies that optimize freight spend, streamline warehouse throughput, and reduce operational bottlenecks across domestic and international supply chains.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with freight forwarders and 3PLs, including rate structures, insurance coverage, and service-level agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and service reliability.
  • Evaluate 3PL and freight forwarder performance through scorecards, KPIs, and SLA audits, driving accountability and corrective actions for underperformance or service disruptions.
  • Own inventory control processes, including cycle counts, reconciliation, ASN tracking, and backorder resolution, maintaining real-time accuracy across ERP and WMS platforms.
  • Serve as the escalation point for logistics and inventory discrepancies, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Drive process standardization and SOP refinement, leveraging data insights to identify inefficiencies and implement automation or procedural enhancements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning for new product launches, ensuring logistics readiness, inventory availability, and seamless distribution execution.
  • Collaborate with Finance on A/P and A/R reconciliation, duties and tax validation, and freight cost allocations, ensuring transparency and audit readiness.
  • Monitor and report on logistics KPIs, including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, freight cost per unit, and damage rates, presenting actionable insights to leadership.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, using Lean principles and root cause analysis to reduce waste, improve service levels, and enhance team productivity.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, acting as the primary liaison for performance reviews, escalations, and strategic alignment with logistics partners.
  • Support digital transformation efforts, including system integrations, ASN automation, and dashboard development to improve visibility and decision-making.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Qualifications:  
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or engineering required. MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience:  Minimum 7 years of management experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Computer Skills:  Technical and business knowledge to include financial modeling and analysis using Microsoft Excel; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Word and PowerPoint. Prior experience with ERP environments and planning in database tools required.
  • Certificates & Licenses: APICS, CSCP, or CLTD highly preferred
Other Requirements:
  • Goal-oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, organization and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, Board members, Committee members or other outside partners.
