The Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for receiving, examining, and recording incoming shipments of various materials and products to fill shelves, racks or orders. You will prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
Essential Functions:
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand or using forklifts, or other equipment.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Receive and sign for deliveries, Unload deliveries.
- Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct cycle counts based on systems requirements.
- Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves.
- Receive and count stock items and record data manually or on computer.
- Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Report discrepancies to correct buyer.
- Report past due purchase orders to the correct buyer.
- Other job duties as required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience: 3 or more years of experience in inventory, shipping and receiving or related field; knowledge of schematics, preferred.Computer Skills: Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel. Prior experience with ERP environments and planning in database tools preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: Forklift certification preferred.
Other Requirements: Goal-oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work efficiently and accurately with details and fluctuating work volumes.

- Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in a warehouse environment.
- The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of the job.
