Luminator is seeking to fill our full-time Strategic Account Manager role to join our growing and dynamic Sales team where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator.

The successful Strategic Account Manager candidate will be part of a team working to expand a strong and proven concept that has solid growth potential, with the opportunity to create substantial shareholder value. You will be responsible for managing strategic accounts, building relationships with key stakeholders, and influential in explaining how our products fit into a client’s day-to-day operations while adding superior value and/or savings in comparison to the competitive market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The successful candidate will have the ability to challenge the organization effectively, resolve problems, and willing to provide a hands-on approach in finding solutions.   • Determine the price schedules and discount rates.
  • Review operational records and reports to project sales and profitability.
  • Identify accounts which contribute a significant amount of revenue to the organization.
  • Maintaining assigned key accounts and providing ongoing client support.
  • Develop and implement client relationship management strategies.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to monitor client expectations and satisfaction.
  • Identify new business leads and prospective clients in promoting new products.
  • Perform industry and market analysis of customer needs and recommendations.
  • Work effectively with horizontal functional team members in Engineering, Technical Operations, Finance, and Project Management in delivering a world-class customer experience surrounding OTD, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Increase and maintain good business relationships between Luminator and our clients.
  • Collaboration with associate sales professionals to develop proposals, contract evaluations, sales negotiations, revisions, and follow-up.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Strategic Account Manager will be an experienced candidate who can successfully lead as a very hands-on Strategic Account Manager to scale for additional growth and maximize potential.

This candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
  • Determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in marketing or transit sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or marketing required. MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

LOCATION:

Plano is a city in the state of Texas, just north of downtown Dallas. It is a hub for many corporate headquarters and has been rated by Forbes as the safest city in 2011. Plano has many visitors, 80% of which are business travelers. The Preston Road area is home to major corporate headquarters of Fortune 1000 companies which have brought thousands of jobs to the area.

Plano has two major space reserves: Arbor Hills Nature Preserve (200 acres) and Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve (800 acres). Bob Woodruff Park and Oak Point Park are connected by biking trails providing an abundance of outdoor recreation for families in Plano. These parks also include activities such as zip lining and Tarzan swings. They have five recreation centers that feature pools, dog parks, and amphitheaters for entertainment. This represents 84 parks. They feature an annual balloon festival every September that draws thousands.

Collin College has two campuses in Plano. Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Dallas Baptist University also have campuses in Plano. There are 70 public schools and 16 private schools. Plano has more graduates than other comparable communities in Texas, graduating 93% of their classes, and score 18 percentage points higher than the same population in Dallas. Many graduate as National Merit Scholars.

Plano is served by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). They provide commuter services via bus and light rail systems. The system is used by 1% of the population.

As far as arts, culture, and entertainment, Plano is home to over 700 restaurants. There is a thriving downtown scene that is rated in the top ten within the country. This includes new office spaces as well as major retail establishments. Plano is a major, busy, bustling city and one of the best places in the United States to live.
