We’re searching for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our growing Aerospace Engineering team and play a key role in driving our vision forward.
What You’ll Do:
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of researching, developing, designing, testing, and implementing cutting-edge electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Your advanced expertise, honed through years of education and experience, will tackle complex and challenging problems, driving excellence and efficiency in every project. You’ll:
- Lead diverse projects independently with limited supervision.
- Coach and review work of junior professionals.
- Support continuous improvement and automation activities.
- Utilize engineering software and equipment for tasks.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications to meet standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, customers, and stakeholders on projects.
- Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for various purposes.
- Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, and maintenance activities.
- Compile data and write reports on engineering studies and projects.
- Perform detailed calculations for standards and specifications.
- Prepare material and equipment specifications for purchases.
- Estimate labor, material, and construction costs for budgets.
- Supervise and train project team members.
- Conduct field surveys to identify and correct power system issues.
- Investigate complaints to determine problems.
- Oversee project production to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Inspect installations for compliance with design and safety standards.
- Plan and implement research methodologies for engineering projects.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Knowledge of different aircraft types, such as single-engine, multi-engine, jets, helicopter, UAV, and UAS is required.
- Experience with LED RGB lighting is required to demonstrate proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining these systems. This includes knowledge of relevant software, and troubleshooting various lighting systems.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school; or related engineering degree with an electrical engineering emphasis required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
