We are seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Aerospace Certification Engineer to join our Lighting & Software Systems team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge aircraft lighting and software-controlled electronic systems to market while ensuring compliance with the industry's highest safety and regulatory standards.
In this highly visible role, you will split your time between leading aircraft certification and regulatory compliance activities and providing oversight of our onsite test laboratory operations. You will collaborate across engineering, quality, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to help certify innovative products for commercial and business aviation platforms. From developing certification strategies and demonstrating compliance with FAA and EASA requirements to overseeing critical testing activities and laboratory readiness, you'll be at the center of the product validation and certification process.

What You’ll Do:
- Support certification planning and execution for aircraft lighting and control systems
- Prepare compliance documentation, qualification test plans, procedures, and reports
- Coordinate environmental qualification testing (DO-160) and photometric performance
Testing:
• Contribute to system safety analyses and installation approvals
• Work with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory representatives
• Participate in certification reviews, audits, and test events

Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace, avionics, or regulated product development required.
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification processes or compliance testing
- Experience with lab or environmental testing (DO-160 or similar
- Strong technical writing and organizational skill
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with aircraft lighting or cabin/avionics systems
• Exposure to DO-178C or DO-254
• Tier 1 supplier or STC certification experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Software, or related Engineering field is required.
