We’re searching for a Field Service Technician to join our growing Product Support team and play a key role in driving our vision forward.
What You’ll Do:
As a Field Service Technician, you will be at the heart of our customer success, providing hands-on expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cutting-edge transit equipment. You’ll:
- Maintain and troubleshoot Luminator’s hardware and software.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide technical support.
- Stay current with company products, installation methods, and safety guidelines.
- Perform on-site pre-start-up, start-up, service work, warranty, and training.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Accurately document all work performed, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with plant operators, management, vendors, and team members.
- Review product prints and specifications.
- Participate in projects such as upgrades and new installations.
- Ensure products are installed to specifications.
- Coordinate with other teams to meet commitments.
- Document processes and follow company protocols.
- Operate vehicles safely and use field systems appropriately.
- Collaborate with the technical team and share information.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with electrical systems, automotive wiring, voltmeters, and small tools.
- Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills to handle demanding situations and deliver exceptional service.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose, resolve, and communicate complex technical issues effectively.
- Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of technical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent (AS degree and A+ certification preferred).
- Familiarity with tools like MathWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Visual Basic, and SCADA software is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
